Logos

[FEATURED PROJECT: SPINNING WHEEL RECORDS - UK]

SWR_Website+Banner_Logo.png

The concept for the logo is derived from analogue music cassette tapes which also gives future scope for an animated version of the logo. Although the style is contemporary, it was important to have some vintage aspect within the design.

This logo was created for a new record label established by jazz musician and composer Sam Qureshi (Sam Q). This logo will feature on the new Spinning Wheel Records website and future releases on the label.

[FEATURED PROJECT: LEAF SURFWEAR COMPANY - BRAZIL]

The rotation angles of each leaf are exactly 25° apart for consistency. It was important to choose a colour palette that reflected the company’s beach lifestyle vision and ethos. This lead to a selection of nature-inspired greens, blues and browns.

This logo design was commissioned for a new range of surfwear by a start-up company in Brazil. The basis for the logo is the surfboard shape which I then duplicated to create the effect of leaves while using the same width of stroke around each shape.

[FEATURED PROJECT: REWORK RECORDS - BRAZIL]

Rework_Web+Banner_2.png

This logo design was created for a new record label specialising in commercial house music releases. The initial concept was based on a record sleeve and vinyl disc. Essentially the logo is based on circle and triangle base-shapes with detail worked over the top.

Extra care was taken to ensure type was manually kerned and equal spacing was used around the grid for consistency. The colour palette has been kept purposely monochrome for simplicity and maximum impact. There is also room to change the principle colour to match packaging or background imagery.
