Introduction to Renewable Energy (Evolve course)

This micro-learning course has been developed in Evolve and covers the 5 types of renewable energy and the associated positive and negative factors surrounding them.

The image on the left shows the illustrated assets I created within Adobe Illustrator. The colours were chosen carefully to maintain an ‘eco-friendly’ style across the course.

This work began by looking for credible sources of information on the subject of renewable energy which I re-wrote and organised into suitable activities/sections/Q&A. This content would set up in Evolve at a later stage of development.

Once I had organised the written content, I was then able to create the visual assets which would later compliment each section of the learning. The visual style was then replicated in Evolve (buttons, line breaks, branding etc).

All written and visual content was then developed in the Evolve platform. Multiple choice Q&A sections were added within the main body of the course and a short MCQ test was created as a final knowledge check. Try taking the course yourself here.

Genogram (Articulate Storyline)

I was asked by a client to re-create a genogram exercise in Storyline. Genograms are used in the social work sector to depict the dynamic of a family.

This task had originally been part of a face-to-face training session and was originally provided as a paper-handout. After remaking the icons in Adobe Illustrator, I was able to take the concept and re-work it as a drag-and-drop exercise. You can try the task out here.

This is an introduction screen for a history and geography themed course featuring two intrepid explorers. The characters act as narrators throughout the course. These screens are from an Articulate Storyline project I worked on.

This is an interactive map of continents. Each pointer leads the learner to an information page for each continent where learners can also test their knowledge with a multiple choice Q&A section.
